Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Me² (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Me² is operated by Me² (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Me² is an AI-powered self-reflection and personal growth platform. The Service uses artificial intelligence to engage you in meaningful conversations, build a psychological profile based on your self-reported experiences and reflections, and provide personalized insights over time.
The Service employs a multi-layer analysis system to understand you better over time:
- Real-time analysis: Each message is analyzed for sentiment, emotions, topics, and entities (people, locations, events) to provide contextually relevant responses.
- Communication pattern analysis: Your communication style, including formality, directness, warmth, and distinctive phrases, is analyzed to help the AI mirror your unique way of expressing yourself.
- Deep psychological profiling: Periodically, a comprehensive analysis is performed across multiple dimensions including personality traits (Big Five, Enneagram), attachment style, cognitive patterns, identity, values, and communication style.
The Service also builds a knowledge graph of entities mentioned in your conversations -- such as people, relationships, locations, events, routines, preferences, goals, and hobbies -- to provide more personalized and contextually aware responses over time.
Me² is not a medical device, therapeutic tool, or mental health service. It does not provide diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical advice. It is designed for self-exploration and personal reflection only.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Me². By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.
4. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You may register using your email address and a password, or through a supported third-party authentication provider (Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
You agree to: (a) provide accurate and complete registration information; (b) maintain and promptly update your information; (c) notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account; and (d) not share your account credentials with any third party.
5. Subscription and Payment
Me² is a paid subscription service. New users receive a 7-day free trial. After the trial expires, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.
Paid subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. The following plans are available:
- Core: $9.99/month or $99.99/year -- Unlimited chat with your AI clone, full memory, personality mirroring, and communication style analysis.
- Complete: $24.99/month or $249.99/year -- Everything in Core plus the full psychological profile dashboard, Big Five personality analysis, Enneagram system analysis, values assessment, cognitive patterns and blind spots, patterns dashboard, and shadow work tools.
Annual subscriptions offer a discount compared to the monthly rate. Both monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
All fees are stated in United States dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. After the billing period ends, your account becomes inactive and you will no longer be able to send messages.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Data upon cancellation: Your data remains stored in our systems after cancellation. If you resubscribe, your conversation history, psychological profile, and knowledge graph will be available to you.
Account deletion: You may delete your account entirely at any time through your account settings. A 30-day grace period applies during which you can sign back in to cancel the deletion and restore your account. After the grace period, all data associated with your account is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
7. Privacy and Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and employ multiple layers of protection:
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using TLS (Transport Layer Security), ensuring your data cannot be intercepted during transmission.
- Encryption at rest: Your data is encrypted at the database level using industry-standard encryption. Our database provider encrypts all stored data at rest.
- Row-level security: Our database enforces row-level security (RLS) policies, ensuring that each user can only access their own data through the API.
- Access controls: We implement strict access controls to limit who can access production systems and data.
- Third-party AI provider: Our AI engine is powered by Anthropic's Claude API, which operates under a zero-data-retention policy. Your data is not stored by Anthropic and is not used for model training.
- Metadata: We collect metadata necessary for service operation, including account creation date, message timestamps, conversation counts, subscription status, and device information. This metadata is used for billing, subscription management, analytics, and service improvement.
For complete details, see our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
(a) Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights; (b) Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content; (c) Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service; (d) Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service; (e) Use the Service to develop a competing product or service; (f) Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity; (g) Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission; or (h) Attempt to access another user's data or account.
9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The AI responses generated by Me² are produced by a large language model and are intended for self-reflection purposes only. You acknowledge and agree that:
(a) AI responses may contain inaccuracies, reflect biases, or produce unexpected outputs; (b) AI-generated insights about your personality, patterns, or behaviors are approximations, not clinical assessments; (c) The Service is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, counseling, or medical advice; (d) You should not make important life decisions based solely on AI-generated content; and (e) If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you should contact emergency services (911) or the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988) immediately.
10. Crisis and Safety
Me² includes automated systems that may detect language indicating a user is in crisis or at risk of self-harm. If our systems detect such language, we may:
(a) Display crisis resources and helpline information within the app; (b) Modify AI responses to prioritize safety; (c) In cases of imminent danger, take necessary steps to contact emergency services or comply with mandatory reporting obligations.
Important: Automated crisis detection is imperfect. It may produce false positives or fail to detect genuine crises. You should not rely on Me² as a safety net. If you or someone you know is in danger, please contact emergency services directly.

11. Intellectual Property
Our property: The Service, including its software, algorithms, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
Your content: You retain ownership of the content you create within the Service (your messages, reflections, and personal information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.
AI-generated content: Insights, patterns, and responses generated by the AI based on your input are provided as part of the Service. You may use this content for personal purposes.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You acknowledge that the Service uses AI technology that may produce unexpected, inaccurate, or inappropriate outputs, and that we are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Me² and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit through the Service.
14. Data Portability and Deletion
Export: You may request an export of your data at any time through your account settings. Exported data is provided as a ZIP archive containing your profile data (profile.json), conversation history (conversations.txt and conversations.csv), extracted entities and relationships (knowledge.json), and conversation topics (topics.json).
Deletion: You may delete your account at any time. Upon requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can sign back in to cancel the deletion and restore your account. After the grace period, all data associated with your account -- including conversations, psychological profiles, knowledge entities, and metadata -- will be permanently deleted. This action is irreversible after the grace period.
Data retention after deletion: Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (not linked to your account or identity) may be retained for service improvement purposes.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the ADR Institute of Ontario, conducted in Toronto, Ontario.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
16. General Provisions
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Me² regarding the Service.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
